Aftersun (2022)
90’s. A young father and his 11-year-old daughter are spending a holiday together in a Turkish seaside resort. From the footage of the time, it seems that the two savored their recovery and experienced a summer break that they wished would never end, a memory to cherish forever, and so it was, or I train like this, little Sophie, now grown up, remembers it.
In reality those sequences always hide something that, as an adult, re-emerges in all its melancholy and pain.
